Design is more than what we see. How does it feel? What does it taste like? Does it bring up a memory? I love design that involves all the senses and that is why food is my favorite medium to work with.
Eating is a universal language we all understand. It's so rich in history and can be so personal. Every food has a story and I love to uncover and amplify stories through design.
Over the past 18 years, I've helped businesses of all sizes craft their values, personality, and voice through visual branding.
Born and raised in Japan, I have been living in the Bay Area for 20 years.
Outside of design, I am typically scoping out the fresh produce at my local farmers market, reliving the wonder of childhood through my son, and working on my handstand walks.
